When is the festival and what are the festival operating times?

The Festival will be held March 25-27 2022

Friday 25th March 3.00pm - 12:00am

Saturday 26th March 10:00am - 12:00am

Sunday 27th March 10:00am - 9:00pm

Where is the festival held?

The Festival is held in Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria. The main festival arena is located in Princess & Lower Princess Parks Queenscliff.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available via this website only (through our Trybooking portal).

*BTP uses the services of trybooking.com. You will be redirected to the BTP ticket pages on trybooking.com to complete your ticket transaction.

Can I pay with cash?

BY THE PIER will be completely cashless this year. Bars, merchandise and vendors will all use an online purchasing system. There will be no cash on site. 

Is the venue undercover?

The main performance area is not undercover. The festival will go ahead rain, hail or shine, so be prepared for any weather.

What food is on offer?

There is a range of delicious food choices from our Festival food stalls on site and Queenscliff has some fantastic restaurants, takeaways and food outlets.

Can I bring a bottle of water?

BY THE PIER is a disposable plastic water bottle free zone!

  • We’re asking all festival-goers, crew and artists to bring an EMPTY re-usable water bottle to the festival
  • There are multiple clean water refill stations all around the festival site.
  • Barwon Water Hydration Station will be onsite along with plenty of water re-fill stations.
  • BTP and our stall holders will not be selling any bottled water
  • BTP stainless steel quality re-usable bottles for sale from the Merch Shop.
  • NO GLASS ALLOWED! 
Where can I park?

There are no designated car parking areas at the Festival, but Queenscliff is a small town and street parking is usually available (some subject to limitations) just a short walk to the festival site. During the weekend, electronic signs will be maintained and updated with parking availability.

Where can I go for general enquiries at the festival?

The Information desk is located just as you enter the festival. It is open during Festival hours and is designed to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

For general tourist information, visit the accredited Tourist Information Centre in Hesse Street near the Post Office.

Where can I get a festival program?

Printed timetables will be available from the main entrace.

What if I need first aid?

First Aid will be operated on site for the duration of the Festival. Check festival map and signage for First Aid location.

Can I bring my pet?

No pets are allowed at the festival.

Guide Dogs are permitted.

Is there camping?

Various camping options are available.

Is there drinking water available?

Yes, in the interest of your well-being at the event, we provide free drinking water. In compliance with Victorian Liquor Licensing laws we can only allow people to bring in sealed or empty water bottles.

 *BTP is now a disposable plastic water bottle free zone.

Can I BYO alcohol?

You are not permitted to bring alcohol into the Festival.  To comply with Victoria Liquor Licensing laws, please be aware that bags will be checked by security at the Festival entrance. Only sealed or empty plastic drink bottles can be brought into the site.  The Festival has several licensed bars for your drinking pleasure.

I need to bring a carer to assist me, what do I do?

BY THE PIER supports Companion Cards. When a cardholder has purchased a BTP festival ticket and carries a valid current Companion Card, a wristband will be issued to both the cardholder and the companion.

What if I don't want to drive?

Extended bus services are operated throughout the event. Check out the Buses page for more info.

Can I get a refund?

There are no refunds or replacements given for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.

What about kids?

BY THE PIER is largely an 18+ event.

12-17yr olds are permitted if accompanied by a Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.

1-11yr olders are not permitted

12 months and under are permitted.

Will I have to wear a wristband?

Please take your ticket to the Wristband Exchange (located next to Front entrance) when you arrive at the Festival to receive your wristband. All Festival attendees must wear a wristband for entry to the Festival.
