The Festival is held in Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria. The main festival arena is located in Princess & Lower Princess Parks Queenscliff.
Tickets are available via this website only (through our Trybooking portal).

BY THE PIER will be completely cashless this year. Bars, merchandise and vendors will all use an online purchasing system. There will be no cash on site.
The main performance area is not undercover. The festival will go ahead rain, hail or shine, so be prepared for any weather.
There is a range of delicious food choices from our Festival food stalls on site and Queenscliff has some fantastic restaurants, takeaways and food outlets.
There are no designated car parking areas at the Festival, but Queenscliff is a small town and street parking is usually available (some subject to limitations) just a short walk to the festival site. During the weekend, electronic signs will be maintained and updated with parking availability.

The Information desk is located just as you enter the festival. It is open during Festival hours and is designed to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.
For general tourist information, visit the accredited Tourist Information Centre in Hesse Street near the Post Office.

First Aid will be operated on site for the duration of the Festival. Check festival map and signage for First Aid location.
No pets are allowed at the festival.
Guide Dogs are permitted.

Yes, in the interest of your well-being at the event, we provide free drinking water. In compliance with Victorian Liquor Licensing laws we can only allow people to bring in sealed or empty water bottles.
*BTP is now a disposable plastic water bottle free zone.
You are not permitted to bring alcohol into the Festival. To comply with Victoria Liquor Licensing laws, please be aware that bags will be checked by security at the Festival entrance. Only sealed or empty plastic drink bottles can be brought into the site. The Festival has several licensed bars for your drinking pleasure.
BY THE PIER supports Companion Cards. When a cardholder has purchased a BTP festival ticket and carries a valid current Companion Card, a wristband will be issued to both the cardholder and the companion.

BY THE PIER is largely an 18+ event.
12-17yr olds are permitted if accompanied by a Parent/Guardian/Responsible Adult.
1-11yr olders are not permitted
12 months and under are permitted.
Please take your ticket to the Wristband Exchange (located next to Front entrance) when you arrive at the Festival to receive your wristband. All Festival attendees must wear a wristband for entry to the Festival.
